Peyton Polk

Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student

My name is Peyton Polk and I am a doctoral student of Clinical Psychology at Albizu University in Miami, Florida. I am currently in my second year and am a practicum extern at Healthy Minds Psychology where I work with children conducting assessments and drafting comprehensive psychodiagnostic reports. In addition to my clinical work, I assist in various psychology related courses at my alma mater, Florida International University, where I am employed as an adjunct lecturer.

My clinical interests include anxiety disorders along with obsessive compulsive and related disorders, specifically

body focused repetitive behavior disorders.

Outside of my academics, my interests include

genealogical research, graphic design, and fine arts.

Hello!

Psychodiagnostic Overview

In the spirit of not having to lug around a five pound DSM-5, I consolidated all crucial information in a simplified manner, including criteria, specifiers, and differentials. This guide serves as an excellent desk reference and accompaniment to the DSM but not a replacement for it. I do not profit in any manner from the sale of these printed copies and a digital copy is available for free in Block One Notes.

My Notes

As a form of creative expression and embracing my values in an academic capacity, I pride myself on constructing highly detailed, visually inclined notes. Many of my peers have benefitted from this and have encouraged me to make them available to a wider audience. Notes organized by block are specifically catered to students of Albizu University, however, these are not officially endorsed by the institution and should not be used as a sole source of information for any of the works cited.
